Cybersecurity Pilot Program
Schools and libraries are increasingly vulnerable to cybersecurity threats such as data theft and network disruptions. To combat these issues, the FCC has launched a three-year pilot program, offering up to $200 million in funding for cybersecurity services and equipment.
Starting this fall, eligible schools and libraries can apply for this support through a two-part application process. The FCC will choose participants based on need and diversity. The program's goal is to gather data on how universal service funds can best protect schools and libraries from cyberattacks.
